Our Peer Tutoring Conference consists of three distinct and unique sessions. The first session provides an overview of peer tutoring, the second session provides an overview of writing center specific tutoring strategies, and the third session provides an overview of math center specific tutoring strategies. The sessions are delivered by current and former writing and math center tutors.
This service is best designed for schools who do not currently have peer tutoring programs in place, but are interested in developing a peer tutoring program for their school.
Our Tutor Training service is designed to follow our peer tutoring conference and involves individual and small group training sessions for current tutors or for students who are interested in becoming tutors at their schools. Training can be provided for writing center tutors, math center tutors, and science center tutors.
This service is best designed for schools that either have new or emerging peer tutoring programs.
This hourly, one-on-one service and consultation is offered by peer tutoring center founders and directors and is designed to provide individualized support for teachers and administrators with questions about either developing or sustaining a peer tutoring program.
This service can be utilized at any point. Consultation can be offered prior to starting a center, during the process of starting a center, or once a center has been started with the goal of strengthening the pre-existing program.
This week-long professional development course provides an overview of peer tutoring and supports educators in the process of developing a peer tutoring curriculum for their school.
This service is best designed for a small team of educators from a single school and should be engaged prior to starting a peer tutoring program. Our professional development course with Digital High School led to the founding of their writing center in 2023.
